We welcome submissions of germline sets for new species, and new sequences for existing species. Under our overall policy, expressed in the name of the site, contributions must be free for anyone to use.
OGRDB is structured to allow individuals or groups to manage the sets that they provide, and we hope that they will develop them over time as new data becomes available. Human sets are managed by subcommittees of the AIRR Community, who work in close cooperation with the nomenclature committee of the International Union of Immunological Societies to define evidential criteria and naming standards.
For other species, evidential criteria depend upon the state of knowledge of the species concerned. As outlined in this paper, sets may be based entirely on sequences inferred from AIRR-seq repertoires, or entirely from genomic sequencing, although best results are likely to be obtained by combining the two.
If you are interested in contributing, or managing sets for your model species, please contact the maintainers in the first instance, and we will be glad to set up a call to discuss options.
