Genomic Data Upgraded

We have added additional annotated human loci, taking the overall total to 867. The new annotations are described in two studies:

– Jana et al., “The human immunoglobulin heavy chain constant gene locus is enriched for large complex structural variants and coding polymorphisms that vary in frequency among human populations” (preprint). IGHC is represented in VDJbase as a separate dataset, and you can browse the substantial polymorphism discovered in this important region.

– Engelbrecht et al., “Germline polymorphism in the immunoglobulin kappa and lambda loci explain variation in the expressed light chain antibody repertoire” (preprint) – paired IGK/IGL analysis of a further 176 individuals.

Human IG VDJ genomic data is now processed with the AIRR-C reference set.
