The new annotations are described in two studies:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>&#8211; Jana et al., &#8220;The human immunoglobulin heavy chain constant gene locus is enriched for large complex structural variants and coding polymorphisms that vary in frequency among human populations&#8221; (<a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/39990387\/\">preprint<\/a>). IGHC is represented in VDJbase as a separate dataset, and you can browse the substantial polymorphism discovered in this important region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>&#8211; Engelbrecht et al., &#8220;Germline polymorphism in the immunoglobulin kappa and lambda loci explain variation in the expressed light chain antibody repertoire&#8221; (<a href=\"https:\/\/pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/articles\/PMC12154815\/\">preprint<\/a>) &#8211; paired IGK\/IGL analysis of a further 176 individuals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Human IG VDJ genomic data is now processed with the <a href=\"https:\/\/ogrdb.airr-community.org\/germline_sets\/Homo%20sapiens\">AIRR-C reference set<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We have added additional annotated human loci, taking the overall total to 867.
